  • Muzzeloader pics are up!

I posted some pics I took of the band this past week at the rally, I think that they came out pretty well. especially well considering that the CMA pavilion and youth room are the hardest places to get great pictures. Anyway they are in my photoblog... let me know what you think.

  • How sad is our culture?  Ray boltz has come out as being gay.  and people are actually congratulating him... what is wrong with this world?  I was talking to a young girl about sex and sexuality a few days ago and I had made the statement "sex was menat to be a beautiful expression of feelings between two people who are in love and married... unfortunately our culture has perverted and raped the idea of sexual intimacy until it has become little more than a game people play, sexual intimacy has become the rating scale by which people live their lives, when it was meant to be a joyful expression of love between a man and his wife..." children and pregnancy are meant to be blessings, not a curse or the end of life, and are not meant to be raised by single parents, etc...  homosexuality has become glorified and "okay" a little taboo, but all-in-all a part of life... The fact of the matter is that our culture is a breeding ground for promiscuity, homosexuality, etc. because it has become if nothing else understandable... I have to again state, what is wrong with us..and I do express US. We may not be engaging in these sinful lifestyles, but we are condoning them by not standing up and changing the channel, speaking out against the problem, or at least simply talking to our children and showing them how this is not acceptible... we as christians have failed our children by allowing our culture to step this far out of bounds without a public outcry from christians against this continued soiling of our lives and the lives of our children.

I admit that I have not stood far enough away from the crowd, but no more... I ended up having to cross three tv shows off of my list this fall for watching because of one thing or another, and I honestly didn't even use foul language as a factor... WHAT IS WRONG WITH US?  My children now have officially four tv shows that they can watch other than the movies we have gotten for them, simply because the children are horrible to each other, they are rude and call names, they yell at their parents and don't get in trouble... my children are NOT going to think that this is the norm.  If I have to cut out TV completely, my children are going to be respectful of elders, have a sense of right and wrong... there should not be a gray area, there are black and white answers to any ethical or spiritual problem, it is our lacks judgement and loose morals that has created gray areas in the first place...

I know that this is quite a rant, but honestly I am tired of thinking this and not stating it for fear of what would (whomever) think... I love my job and love that I am able to help people who have had or are going through hard times, however at the same time I find it so completely sad that my job will never be in trouble since our culture is creating a neverending array of mental health problems... just plain sad.
